In this chapter, we learn that the eight black-eyed soldiers have defected from the Machine Soldiers, and that they're looking for a way to get rid of one of their own. This is a big deal, because it means they'll be able to kill the guy who's trying to kill them. The guy they want to kill is the guy they've been looking for all along. So, the guy that's going to get killed first is going to be the guy the machine soldiers are looking for. This guy is the one that hasn't been able to get his head around the fact that he's being made an enemy by the other machine soldiers, so he'll get his revenge on him first. He's about to kill you, but he can't get his breath back from you. He doesn't even feel his body. It's poison, and it's why he didn't notice that it was on his skin. The poison will cause him to lose all of his body's energy, and he won't have enough energy to fight the other machines. The only thing he can do is stare at the guy and watch him fight.
