Zillah and the gang eat dinner, but the food isn't enough. There's still a little food in the bag, though. They're back. Zillah's foot feels like he's deliberately been there to sound things out. He's about to go out for a cigarette when he sees the gang. They all look like they're about to leave, and Zillah thinks it's strange that they've all been dressed so strangely. The policeman sure is dedicated, he says, but he doesn't want to investigate supernatural phenomena. Old Guo and Old Fang say that the four have entered an alley, and that they haven't seen anyone there yet. Old Fang points out that he has been waiting for five minutes for someone to show up, but no one has shown up. He says that the alley is a straight path with no forks, so why not wait for a bit longer? Old Fang says that he knows the alley, so he knows where to find the four. The landlord says they'll block one end each of the alley. They don't know where the four are, but they can't figure out how to open a door to let them in. They wonder who the next day is.
