About This Chapter
The cat tells the narrator that he has fantasized about beautiful women coming to his side. Even in the most crazy dreams, he never thought that his house would be overrun by four legged cats. The cat asks the narrator if he would like a cigarette. The cigarettes are in the pockets of the big bros, and the cat thinks it smells weird. It smells like a "narcissistic gas" , but the cat doesn't think it is poisonous, so he chews the rollie. It looks like the cat is a "necromancer meow" . He explains that he did not poison anything, but that he would have been a martyr if he had been killed by a group of animals like this. He thinks it's strange that the cat didn't respond to the first attack, but then he realizes that it was the boundary rule of the bank, so it must have affected the cat. He asks the cat if they have scouted the bank outside, when they are launching their attack, and if they need help. He says he's had his eye on the bank for a while now, and he'll "brush mutton oil" on the cat and sell him as mutton skewers.
