About This Chapter
The next morning, the dog wakes up to sing a lullaby to his master. He tells his master that he's exhausted from the night before, and that he can't sleep. He asks the dog to sing him a lullaby, and the dog does so. The dog says that the master has been around for a long time, but that this is the first time he has learned that he has good massage skills and a great singer. He also tells the dog that none of the dogs and cats in his house are characters he would want to mess around. He says that he doesn't even know how to deal with the two purebred mastiffs, who are eating the four cats. He's been suspecting this for a while, but he didn't realize that they were really the legendary mastiff. The owner of the house is asleep, so the dog runs off to find his master and pay his respects. The master tells him to knock on someone's door, because he looks like a spy, and he says that if he were to be followed, he wouldn't be able to live in the house. He adds that he even has cats and dogs, which give him a sense of security. He then says that there are "magic formations" all over the place, which he can choose from. He offers to show him a palace drama, which the master agrees to watch.
