This chapter opens with a soliloquy by the Black Dragon, in which he apologizes to the White Dragon for what happened in the previous chapter. He says that he misjudged their capabilities and that he kept everything under his control because he felt that it would be best for the holy dam. He promises that he won't break his promise. The Black Dragon tells him that the real training has not even started yet. He is exhausted and says that his dragon power has been drained out. He asks if there is something wrong with his body. He thinks that the core of the dam has exploded and that his body has been affected by the explosion. He wants to go to the northern ice lands to find out what is going on.
