This chapter opens with a conversation between the doctor and the shop owner. The shop owner tells the doctor that he has heard that the young general is going to be getting married. The doctor says that he thinks the wedding will be a big success, but that Lady Su hasn't yet agreed to marry the young man. He says that everyone in the manor is talking about the wedding, and that he doesn't want to be a part of it.
