About This Chapter
The next morning, the two women discuss the situation. The first woman says that she will not be changing her rooms because she is pregnant. The second woman replies that she would like to move out of the room where the baby is being born and into the garden where she will be able to give birth. The two women agree that it would be a good idea for the baby to be born in the garden and then come back to live in the house once the renovation of the house is complete. The women then discuss the fact that the doctor who felt the baby's heartbeat on the day of its birth has returned to the capital. They decide that the baby will not come for them for long, since the family does not yet have a son.
