The next chapter begins with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter. The flashback shows that zhugong has awakened the evil spirit of Ae's dad. The evil spirit is now attacking Ae with the same nine attacks that Ae has been attacked with by the nine-smashed word. The ghost of the red-riding-hood has also joined the fight, and he has also added a new attack to his attack on Ae. As the flashback continues, we learn that the ghosts of the three people in the room are the same three people who have been fighting with Ae in the previous scene. As they fight, Ae realizes that he is being possessed by the same evil spirit as he is. He realizes that the nine attacks on him are not the same attacks on the other three people, but are instead an attack on the law of causation. He is also able to see that the three evil spirits are fighting with each other because they are all using the same law of cause-effect. The ghosts are able to communicate that they are fighting against the same enemy, and that the enemy is an evil spirit. As a result, the three of them can defeat the other evil spirits. Ae thanks everyone who has been watching the play for their help. He wonders why there are so many effects in the play. He also wonders why the play was so obvious to the audience. He feels that he did a good job, and the audience seemed pleased. The audience is not within the field of the Ghost, so the Ghost's job is to trick them into believing that the play is happening
