The narrator and his sister hurry up to the playground at midnight. The narrator tells his sister that he's going to die if she doesn't come out with him. He's a big star, he says, and she should be grateful that he came out with her to feed the mosquito. The two of them decide to go kite-flying together, and the narrator says he'd like to do it, too, but the wind isn't strong enough to fly it. He tells the sister that when they were at school, the sports department didn't have the money to build a new gym, so they had to go back to the old one. He says that the old gym is now deserted, and he wishes they could use it again.
