Ascend

In this chapter, the young woman tells Mr. Lin that she is already very happy with him. She tells him that her relationship with him is "progressing a bit fast," but that she does not mind at all if he is not by her side. He tells her that he is very tired and that he has fallen asleep. She asks him to remember to tell her if he needs any help. He is too gentle, she tells him, but she is not happy for him. He falls asleep, but he tries very hard to wake him up. She says that she cannot stand the job at the coffee shop, and that she wants to concentrate on her writing, which she is very excited about. But she is disappointed that he will not come to see her soon, as she thinks it is so enviable that he would not want to be alone. She feels that her life has become less lonely because of the troublesome man. The cat pees on the bed, and the smell of the cat urine makes her life less lonely.
