About This Chapter
Teta wakes up and tells the others that curly is awake. They're going to go up to the mountain, and Teta asks if she'll ever wake up. Teta says that mom will be sleeping for a while, but that's okay, because it's Teta's turn to take care of her now. He tells them to be careful on their way up, and to keep praying for mom. They all head off together to celebrate a reunion. The pilgrims told Teta that there was a night market in the mountain. He's not sure if he was dreaming or dreaming, but he's sure that Teta spoke some strange arabic language while carrying a lantern. He asks Teta to be more devout, since he doesn't know arabic, but Teta is sure that aji is devout. He says that they've got a lot of food at the market, and they're getting ready to go to the peak to eat. He also tells Teta about aji, who invited them all to the market and paid for all of the food. He seems like a nice guy, Teta tells him. He adds that he has a "blue blood" , which Teta thinks is a reference to the ancient Greek god of the kraton . He wonders if Teta and his family are related to the god of yogyara or solo, but says that his family is nice as well. TETA says that a lot has changed in the last few years, and that a big part of that has to do with aji's devotion to prayer.
