In this chapter, we learn that Arni and her brother, Billy, have bought a new vanity mirror, which Arni has been spending a lot of time admiring. Arni's father decides that it's time to move the vanity mirror to the garage so that it can be thrown away the next day. He tells Arni that he's going to take her with him.
