The next morning, Oshima tells the girls that he's sorry he didn't tell them sooner about his feelings for yoshida. The girls are shocked at Oshima's statement, and he says that they should have known about it earlier. They don't want him to think that they'd be happier without him. They're also shocked that he wouldn't have told them earlier that he loved her, because it would have made them feel bad. He goes on to say that if they had known, they would have asked him to dump her, but he would never have done it.
