The chapter opens with a flashback to a dream in which Hirokazu and Mina are on their way to the bridge. The narrator explains that he had a dream where he talked to Mina, and that the dream was interrupted by someone pulling his hand and saying that he was going to die. He is surprised to find that he is alive, and he wonders if everyone is going to be able to live.
