It's the morning of the fireworks, and Hiroyuki has gone to see them. He's worried about his sister, who's just jumped into the river. He grabs her and tries to pull her up, but she's still not safe yet. Hiroyuki tells himself that he'll have to wait a little longer before he can get her up. He figures that if she doesn't get up, she'll just fall down the river, and he won't be able to find out whether it's okay or not until he's done with her.
