In the rain, Hiroshi and his mother find Hiroshi alone in the forest. Hiroshi tells his mother not to worry about him going back home because he's already done enough for her. He tells her that he wants to dedicate his life to her, and she agrees. She tells him to check out the forest again, because she's found Hiroshi. She also tells him that Hiroshi is talking to his friend, who is also Hiroshi's friend. She asks Hiroshi if he understands that she can come see him later, and Hiroshi says he does, but he'll have to apologize to her.
