It's been a long time since the narrator wakes up, and it seems like he's actually alive. He's spent the last six months as the emperor, and he feels like it's time to die. He reads about it in novels, and even though he doesn't want to die, he thinks it would be best to just die. In novels, the protagonist goes back to the past and conquers the world, and lives happily ever after. He wants to go to his sister's palace and beg her to let him go.
