Surprise romance The narrator tells us that he's in love with Izumi Tanaka , and that she's been giving him a hard time about it. He says that he used to be treated like a stalker in high school, and now that he is in love, he feels like he is the one who is the surprise. He's going to have another lonely Christmas this year, he says, because Izumi has given him a new number. Izumi is all, "you can go out with him" , but Izumi won't let that happen. The narrator says that Izumi shouldn't have been so hard on him, because she should have known that he was going for her instead of hers. He goes on to say that he doesn't think she is worthy of being his girlfriend, since she is "definitely not worthy of unpopular ranmaru" . He also says that if she were worthy of him, she wouldn't even be his girlfriend. He leaves to go home, and Izumi tells him that they're going to go for a walk together.
