About This Chapter
The next morning, the Governess gets a call from her editor, who wants to know if she's all right. The Governess is so tired that she decides to go to her sister, who's in the middle of a conference call with her employer. She tells her sister that the call is a trade secret and that she should just chill out and not tell anyone. She also tells her that she'd rather have sex with a girl than tell her employer about it. When she gets home, she asks her sister what's going on. She says that her husband ran away one day and left them a ton of debt. She's not sure if he's crazy or not, but she doesn't think he'll be able to make it through the day without her. She asks if she should have told him about the whole thing. She then asks if there's anything she needs to tell him about. She wants to talk about something that's really important to her, but can't figure out how to put it all together. She starts off by asking her sister why she didn't just tell her husband about it the first time she tried to get him to tell her about the affair. She goes on to say that one day, he ran away and left her and her husband a lot of debt, so she went on a rant about how crazy he was and how he was going to have to pay them back. Then she asks if he was really crazy or if he just couldn't deal with the whole situation. She finally gets to the point: she says that she was just trying to be nice to him, but that she crossed the line and told him what she thought was the big deal. She wonders if he can handle it, but then she realizes that he was already in the hospital when she got there. She thinks that her sister should have let her know that she wasn't crazy, but instead, she just kept
