This chapter opens with a conversation between Mina and Ranmaru. Mina thanks Ranmaru for giving her a chance to write a story for the newspaper. Mina asks Ranmaru what he thinks of her. Ranmaru replies that she is beautiful, and Mina says that she can have anyone she wants. Mina says she would kick Ranmaru's ass if she were not to glance at his slave. She then asks if Ranmaru came first in the competition, and he replies that they both came first. She asks if he would sleep with her if he could resist her pheromones. He then says that he would not sleep with Mina if she could not resist the same pheromones in her body. Mina blushes and says she is ashamed to be writing these stories. She tells Ranmaru that she has received an extended deadline and that she will be working late at night. She says that it looked like she passed out in class. She goes to the school nurse's to complain about her cough. She is told to go to the staff's office and borrow money. When she arrives at the office, she is told that her son has been called back to school because of a cough. Mina tells her son to go back to his school and take care of his cough.
