In this chapter, we learn more about Hiroshige's relationship with Mina and his feelings for Mina. He is in love with Mina, and she is his only friend in the world. He tells her that he is going back to Japan soon, and Mina is shocked at this news. She asks him what he is doing at this hour, and he replies that Mina is his girl friend, and that he wants to play a game of ds with her. Mina asks him if he is mad about what has happened to her, to which he replies, "Of course, I have my reasons, but I will say this" .
