The second day of the tournament is over, and Shimada and Asakura are back at the gym. Asakura tells Shimada that the school year is about to begin, and that he and the other teachers will be joining in the welcome party. Shimada tells Asakura that he is the lap leader for the girls team, and he asks Shimada if he would like to be a part of the management team. He says that he would, but that he does not want to do the dirty work that the other girls do. As they are about to leave, Shimada asks him if he is sure that he will be okay with that. He tells her that he feels that if he did not do this, she would not be able to do what she needs to do.
