She tells the halfwolf that they will do no harm unless they require it. She then tells the fox that the alliance between the dusk court and the Baroness will not last. The baroness, she says, is growing stronger than any other court in the world. She adds that the inquisitors among the dusks are stronger than anyone else. She says that she would like to see her mask again, but she knows that if she sets foot on the stairs, her head will be cut to pieces and her body burned. She also says that the mask was an accident, that night, when they had only two sections. She wonders if she has planned for her now that she is dead.
