About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Zillah was once a guest of Zillah's mother. When she was young, Zillah saw her mother and looked at her every inch. Zillah wonders why he hasn't returned to his mother's side. He suspects that there was poison in the weapons that woke him up. He also wonders why the seal that was supposed to seal the room wasn't there. He wonders why they haven't found anything. He's happy to see Zillah with the seal. He thinks that the seal was there before, but now it's gone. The seal is gone, but the child is still alive. The seals are gone, and Zillah thinks that they're about to go through a "time of transformation" . He tells Zillah that he's been waiting for years for the seal to come back, and now that it has, he can't believe how happy he is to see it. He doesn't want to be a servant to the gods, he says. He wants to serve the gods. He says that the seals are no longer there, and that the masks are now rising. He asks Zillah if he can talk to the seal, but Zillah refuses to listen to him. She says that she's already a vessel for him, but that she can never feel so far away from him.
