This chapter ends with the ghost turf reappearing in the middle of the night. It's all the fault of the guardian, and he's furious. He's lost his strength, and now he can't even stand the smell of the turf. He begs the guardian to stop interfering in the affairs of other people, and to stop playing dead. He wants a piece of him.
