In this chapter, we're introduced to some of the characters from the previous nine chapters. First, we get a description of what it's like to live in the Uyghur countryside. It's kind of like being in a dream, except you're actually in the middle of the night and can't see anything. Yay! We're also introduced to a bunch of characters that haven't been introduced yet. They're the ones who have been living in the countryside for a long time, and they're usually the only ones who've been living there for a while. Yay
