He doesn't want his son to be a pirate like his father. He also wants his wife to be happy. He tells his father that his son is an obedient boy, and that his father's life is hard because of it. He asks his father if he can fix his gloves, but his father says that they're too big. He says that his wife's gloves are too big, but he hopes they'll be fixed soon. He goes on to say that his family is made of wood, and his ship is made out of wood. He then asks if his wife will be better soon. She's sleepy and tired, but she'll get better soon, he says. Then he asks if the doctor will take a medical log to see her. The doctor says he'll take care of her soon, and then he tells his wife that he wants her to have a big party for her wedding. She says that's fine, but that she wants to make sure that everyone has a nice dinner. She asks if they can call her brother, and the doctor says that it's her brother who's missing. She also asks if he'd like them to call him "my brother" instead of "my sister" . She wants to call her "brother" instead, but the doctor won't let her call him that. She tells him that she just had a dream in which she kissed her, and she can't figure out if it was a dream or if her dream was real. She wonders if she should stop kissing her, but her father insists that she shouldn't stop. He thinks that if he were in his own shoes, he would have broken a sword on the head of the pirate. He hopes that one day, the pirate will tell him what happened if he saw him.
