The ambassador says that the sun is shining over the square. He says that it is like a gem of the Mediterranean sea. The goddess of the sea is glowing. He asks her to sing. She does not sing, he says, because she is not his wife. She says that she chose this place for the sake of the goddess. She tells the ambassador that the pirate king wants his queen back. He wants to forgive her if she does not protect the queen from the pirate. The pirate king is not hers to keep and give away, she says. He belongs to everyone. The white witch is within the circle of the white witch. She emerges from the circle during the ceremony. She asks the ambassador to stop poking her with a stick. She wants to know what the terms and conditions are for this part of the agreement. She is told that she has to earn her stay by following the rules of the house. She has to decide what she wants to do. She can do anything she wants.
