In this chapter, Huck asks his brothers to take him to his room so that he can play with them. He tells them that his mother taught him how to do household chores on his own and that his brothers are kind to him, but that sometimes they get into fights. He asks if his parents will come back, and they say that they will. Huck says that he will be back to his old self if they come back.
