It's a hot night in a hotel, and the narrator is singing a song with his boss. The song is already on the radio, and it's so good that the narrator can't wait to hear it. The narrator is so excited that he wants to fight the song with it. He wants to know if the song is good enough for him, and if he can sing it better than the narrator. But the narrator doesn't want to fight with his best song, so he decides to sing from his soul instead. He feels like he has heard the song before he did, and he's glad he did. He's going to sing it again, though, because it'll make him feel better about himself.
