About This Chapter
The narrator wakes up in the middle of the night and tells himself that he's going to be on his honeymoon the next day. He wants to get married, but he doesn't want to hear about it from someone who's sleeping well. The narrator tries to cheer him up by telling him that he still looks better than he does. He tells the narrator that he can eat whatever he wants, even if it's not good for his health. He also tells him that if he wants to marry someone, he'll have to be serious about it. He says that he could never marry anyone he wasn't in love with, and that knowing that his feelings weren't re ciprocated, it'll never end up overtime again. He gets up and goes to get some coffee. He notices that the narrator's color is looking better. He asks the narrator if she's using soy milk, and the narrator says that she blends up vegetables so her teeth won't hurt. She says that's why she works so hard, because she wants her teeth to stay healthy. She also says that her lunch box contains a glass of vegetable juice every day, which she says makes her feel great at work
