The next morning, Shum opens the newspaper to find that his son has been rejected for a job at the company. He tells his son that he has been preparing for the position for a year, and that he is not begging his son to come to work for the company, but that he should apply to both the headquarters and the domestic offices. Shum complains that the weather has been good, and he wants to take his son for a walk in the countryside. He asks his son if he has a concern, and Shum tells him to tell him anytime. The next day, the company's human resources manager, Han Sunbae, comes to see Shum.
