The scene opens with a conversation between Rosa and her father. Rosa tells her father that she has lost her baby because of her husband's infidelity. He pretends to be sorry, but he's still messing around with his "meng qi" . He's going to take Rosa to the hospital, and she'll have to divorce him after he recovers. She's so sorry, she says, that she doesn't want to do anything stupid. She tells her mother that she's opened an internet shop for her mother, and that she adopted a cat. She also tells her mom that she can control her working time. She says that if she could go back to B-city, she'd rent a two-bedroom apartment with Rosa and Rosa's friend . Rosa says that she still remembers the time when she took pills from her father, and he scared her to death. She wants to get her cousin a raise, so she moves into a single bedroom. Rosa then tells Rosa that she needs to talk to her husband about the divorce, and they've hired a lawyer to represent her
