In this chapter, Zillah proposes marriage to his father. He tells Zillah that he loves her forever and asks her to marry him. Zillah says that he knows that she wants her current boyfriend to be romantic and humorous than her former one, but that she shouldn't try to change his character. He says that true love develops when two people get to know one another's sides and accept their differences. He explains that he took Zillah to try new things that Zillah wouldn't do if he were on his own, and that he was angry when he found out. He doesn't think Zillah is backing him up, but he does say that he found the conversation between Zillah and lisa on the camera and that it was also recorded on the conversation with her mom. When Zillah asks if she wants to stay with her during her business trip, she says that she would like to go back to her hotel first. She says that everyone has homesickness when they travel, and when they return home, they piece their hearts together. She asks Zillah why she didn't tell her first that she was taking her sister to be sick
