The men are ready to say goodbye, but Kmper reminds them that they're no longer useful to him. He tells them to think of something else to do. He suggests that they take off their helmet and see what's going on inside. Jake says that he's the only remaining member of the original team. He says that there were some changes around the place while he was gone, and that they need to figure out a way to get out. He also says that the only reason they went to the diplomatic route was because they needed to bring Miss Jessel back to the U.S. He adds that he doesn't know how she escaped without a trace, but that she paid for a car she rented out with cash. They're professionals, he says, and they don't need to change their plans. They just need to get her back ASAP. He then tells them that there's a war going on in the Mediterranean and that one of the ships is stationed there. They need to find him ASAP.
