The narrator begins this chapter by asking his mom to listen to what he has to say. He wants her to tell him that he's wrong and that she's too kind of a person. He's not the only person who receives love, and he wants to make sure that he doesn't get cheated on. He tells his mom that he won't cheat on her, and that once he has fallen in love with someone, he'll always love that person. The narrator says that if he were alone, he would die, but if he was with his mom, he wouldn't feel lonely. He says that he knows that he shouldn't have sex with anyone, but that he can't bear the thought of getting lonely and hoping that someone else will love him. He asks his mom if she wants to grab the girl she met in the park, but she refuses, saying that she isn't the one she loves.
