In this chapter, the protagonist explains that his ideal type is dying, and that he and his co-workers are going to buy whatever they need to survive. They're going to clear out the shelves of watsons and buy everything they need. He's also going to get a membership card with 500 yuan of value stored in it, which means that he's going to be able to buy anything he wants at any watson's store in the city. The protagonist tells us that he just read a book about sex and freedom and that the boss is dead. He asks the boss to help him find a watson store that sells adult-diapers. The boss says that the store doesn't sell them, but the protagonist says that's okay, he just has to work. He gives the boss his business card with his personal contact information, and the boss says he'll donate the diapers to the elderly. He then tells the protagonist that he needs a doctor, and he suggests that the protagonist go see a psychiatrist. He says that if the protagonist isn't feeling well, he should go to the store and get a doctor to look at him.
