The narrator tells us that his ideal type is dying . Ten layers of sauce, he says. He's done eating, and he's only one piece of fried chicken wing left. He wants to share the chicken with his brother, but he can't because they're not famous or anything. The narrator says that if he had known about this earlier, he would have let his brother buy more chicken so that he could share it with his friend. He also says that he can afford the chicken, but that his friend must think that his money is running out, and wants to spend it quickly. He worries that he won't be able to help his friend in his last days, and so he needs to find a way for him to accept his money with ease.
