The narrator tells Mizumori that she is in love with Shuroe. He tells her that even though he is popular among other girls, he is not popular with her because he is "way too cool" for her. He says that she should be serious about her love for Shuroe and that she needs to "do some of with" him. He adds that he knows exactly how she feels and that he wants to cheer her up. The narrator says that while they were digging up, he wanted to let her know that he was in love and wanted to talk to her for a bit. He ended up talking about his relationship status while he was digging up. He then says that he just told her that she had a girlfriend, and that "panicky things" like how popular she was and how popular he was were and stuff. She is fine and says she hopes that "little by little" he will come to depend on her. They talk about the other students in their class, and the narrator says he doesn't hate them when they talk like that. He also says that they should be careful not to let the students know that they are in love. He asks if they have been drinking, and they say that they haven't. They also say that Mizumi has gone to the bathroom and hasn't come back. They look for Mizumi but have found no trace of her.
