About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the chief of police has praised the dog for his last case, and that the dog's brain is more powerful than the chief's. The dog whines that he is just a puppy, but the boy says that he thought he would be back to his normal self before long. He remembers that he was a detective at his age because he thought the dog could teach him how to be one. The boy asks the dog if he solved all of the cases, and the dog responds that he did. He then asks the boy where the sherlocks were, and he guesses that they were in the city of baker Street. He also guesses that the baker Street subway station was built when the boy was young, and when his grandfather was born, and guesses that he began running the subway when he was in the sixth grade. He wonders why the dog is acting like a detective, and wonders if it is because he is taking the dog back to the city, and not because he has decided to become a detective
