About This Chapter
This chapter opens with a knock at the door. It is an electrician who has come to fix the wiring in Meguro's house. The dog is annoyed that the dog is being let into the house, but Meguro assures him that she does not worry about the dog's appearance. He tells her that he is going to interview a famous "unladylike" mayor for his school paper, and he does not want the dog to be alone with him. The electrician tells Meguro that he has noticed that Meguro has come home, and that he had taken a school newspaper's camera with him, which led him to believe that he was on his way to interview the "beautiful mayor" of the school paper. Meguro then tells the dog that the mayor has been reading an article in the newspaper, and when he saw the dog, he hurried to meet the mayor. He says that he could teach the mayor a lesson in judo, but the dog throws a lit cigarette in the bushes. The old man says that the man is strange because he is short, and Meguro suggests that they talk to the mayor about it.
