About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Shmuel's mother is dead, and that the mad woman who claimed to be his biological mother is, in fact, his father's mistress. In order to prove that she is indeed his mother, the cub must take a drop of his blood and test it for "blood-relation" , which is a fancy term for the fact that a person's blood contains a certain amount of "relation." This means that if a person has a lot of blood, he or she is more likely to be the child of a woman who has a great deal of blood. The cub wants to test his blood against the woman's, and slap her in the face. He also wants to know who ordered the woman to commit this crime. He wants to find out the identity of the person who ordered this crime, and he wants to arrest the woman for it. He then wants to buy calming tea with a secret recipe, which will help him sleep well. The woman is a robber, and the effect of calming tea is so strong that it puts a person in a coma. The narrator then asks the cub if he thinks his mother would notice that the woman was indeed her biological mother, or if she was just trying to be a little crazy. He says that his mother is not as patient as her son, and she will lose her sanity if she is too emotional. He tells the cub that the secret order the prince wants him to give him is the same secret order that the eldest prince wants the cub to know. The
