The next morning, the Governess is furious with her son for not taking care of Shmuel. She tells him that the doctor has not yet arrived, and that he should go back to his room and rest. The Governess accuses her son of being a liar, and demands that he tell her the truth about what happened. He tells her that his brother wanted to kill shulin, but the fourth lady came to his rescue, and he was bitten by a snake. He blames his mother for spoiling him, and tells her to take him back to her room and treat him.
