The chapter opens with Lingzi's exclamation that he is here to save Cai Binglan, who has escaped from the monster prison. Lingzi tells the other taoist disciples that the escape route has been carefully planned, and he is glad that Cai is alive. The sects are shocked that Cai has escaped, and they send their disciples to search for the demon girl, but they cannot find her for two days. The taoists will hold a summit at the top of the mountain soon, and the masters of the sect will be able to climb to the top without having to do so. The master of the hengshan sect, Fayin, tells Lingzi that the ranking of his sect is judged by the people of the world, and that mocking him here is a joke. Fayin tells the group that they are gathering for the great conference of the taos. He tells them that they should not make everyone uncomfortable, as the conference will discuss the relationship between the imperial court and the sects, and how they can expand the influence of their sects. In the face of all these questions, Lingzi does not speak a word, as if he is somewhere else. The sun is setting, and Lingzi asks the other disciples to carry out his plan to open the demon prison.
