The narrator explains that he met Dujian for the first time when he was looking for a teacher. He found out that Dujian is related to the teacher, and that he even wants Dujian to sabotage the teacher's plan to return to the world. The teacher is surprised to find that the two men are foreigners, and he asks if they look like local farmers. The man says that he's looking for the teacher. The two men look like foreigners, but the teacher doesn't like foreigners. He asks if the men are from the same world as the teacher and the teacher says that there are many other people from the world besides Dujian.
