In this chapter, we learn that the wolf's father is the snake king's son, a man named Zhuang. Zhuang and the wolf fall in love, and the two decide to have a secret wedding in the tiger kingdom. When the groom turns out to be the king, little hong realizes that he has fallen in love with the prince. He tells his mother that he was captured by the snake kingdom's king on the wedding day, and has been imprisoned ever since. He also tells her that he killed a bunch of traitors, and that the power he wields has increased again. He hopes that his mother will be able to live happily in the kingdom.
