The narrator introduces us to a second-year college student named "man qian" . He tells us that he has a crush on a girl named "yang zi" , but he has failed to confess his crush to anyone. The girl is his "oldest friend" and they don't get along very well, but she's more mature than most of the girls around her. The two of them decide to have lunch together, but man qian isn't having it. He wants to be alone with his crush, but the girl doesn't want him to be around. She invites him to come over to her house and have lunch with her. He agrees, but then he realizes that he can't confess to anyone if he just hangs up.
