In the morning, the monk wakes up to find that the house has been taken over by a band of thieves. He tells the monk that he has been injured by a thunderbolt, but the monk says that thunderbolts can only harm ghosts and monsters. The monk tells him that the vault where his uncle keeps all of his treasures is locked and that no one can enter without the permission of the uncle.
