In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, a young man named Tamura. We learn that Tamura is a member of the Kusada family, and that his father is a wealthy businessman. Tamura and his father have been friends since childhood, and Tamura's father has been a successful businessman in the United States and Japan. The two men are in the middle of a business transaction when they are interrupted by the arrival of a young woman, who introduces herself as "Mesa." Tamura tells her that she is the daughter of a wealthy family and that her father is an important person in the community. She explains that she has come to see Tamura because she wants to ask him to marry her, but he refuses, saying that he is not interested in marrying her. The young woman asks Tamura if she can marry him, but Tamura says that he will not, since he is a "fucking pervert" . He then asks her if she would like to enter into a "pure" relationship with him, and she says that she does not mind.
