The next morning, Mina and Ren meet in Mina's apartment. Mina tells Ren and Furuya that the story about him being an idol to them was a lie, and that Ren and Mina can't communicate with each other because they don't speak each other's language. She tells Ren that she's lonely because she was out of school for a week, and Ren tells her that they were lonely when she went abroad and they were out of town all last week. Mina says that she is not an idol because she doesn't care about the characters, but Ren says that it's a better feeling to be by her side, because she'd be messed up with her brain if she were to fall into the "turbid period" again. She also says that if they can keep the "living part" of her brain in good use, it might be possible that she won't fall back into it again. Mina is a little optimistic, but she says that he's experienced a lot of things in the last month or so, and he feels like it might not be entirely out of question. He wants to go see the new series, but he has pneumonia, which has made him bedridden.
